Start of this year we handed over a very special home located in the heart of Mumbai, to the Sinhas. We absolutely loved working on this project and it has turned out exactly how we wanted it to be and all thanks to our super talented team and amazing clients.

In every bathroom we design, we love to try something bold and unique. This time, we went all out and used just one kind of marble for the whole bathroom. And it turned out amazing. We love it, the clients love it and the end result was everything we hoped for.

As a mom of two, I know firsthand how quickly our little ones grow and change. That’s why designing spaces for kids is so close to my heart. It’s not just about creating something beautiful; it’s about crafting a space that’s safe, fun, and can evolve with them. This Children’s Day, I’m excited to share a project that embodies this philosophy – a kids’ bathroom designed for a family in Dubai! As an art enthusiast, I have always loved bringing art into the homes we design. Not just framed pieces or objects placed at the end, but art that is made specifically for that home, that room, and the people who live in it. There is something so special about a hand-painted wall mural because it immediately feels personal, like it could not have belonged anywhere else. ✨ The artwork started with wallpaper references, but Gracious created a completely custom version for this house. ✨ He kept the background soft and subtle, then added colour through the birds and smaller details so the room still felt playful. ✨ He used a mix of emulsion and acrylic to build this effect, and the whole mural took around 22 days to complete.

This bathroom is from a 5000 sq ft home we designed in the heart of South Mumbai. It’s a compact space, but we knew we wanted to do something a little bold with it. The client had chosen a very bright green marble that could easily feel overpowering in a bathroom. Strong colour, small space, it’s a risky combination, and can start looking quite dated if not handled carefully. So here’s what we did to make it work: - We used the green just on the basin counter and carried it up a little behind the mirror. Most of it gets hidden by the mirror anyway, so you get just a peek of it, nothing too loud. - On the floor, we used the same marble again but cut into small inlay squares set inside white marble. That helped break up the colour and keep the flooring light. - Inside the shower, we kept everything white except one wall. For that wall, we took small pieces of the green and white marble and made a mosaic pattern. It’s got this soft peppered effect and doesn’t feel dark at all.

This is a 4500 sqft. Family office we recently handed over, and one of the most fun parts of this project was designing the three director cabins. Each cabin had a similar layout, but we tweaked them depending on how each director would actually use the space.One cabin focuses on flexibility. We added a height-adjustable desk and switchable glass between cabins, so you can stay connected when needed and get privacy at the touch of a button.Another cabin hides the tech in a simple way. The TV sits behind an artwork, so when it’s not in use, the room still feels calm and uncluttered instead of having a big black screen staring at you.The third cabin has a bit of a surprise. Along with the main workspace, there’s a hidden den and bar area tucked inside, so the room can easily shift from work mode to meetings or hosting when needed.

We as a team spend a lot of time trying to bridge the gap between functionality and aesthetics. This floating partition is something we came up with for a living room where we needed to divide the space—but without making it feel bulky or closed off. And here’s why I think it works so well: ✅ It’s cantilevered from the top and completely open at the bottom, which makes it feel light and almost like it’s floating ✅ Most partitions start from the floor and go up—but we flipped that around, and it instantly made the space feel less heavy ✅ Built-in storage inside the partition makes it super functional ✅ Open sections throughout let light pass through and add a playful touch to the whole design It’s these little experiments that make spaces feel more thoughtful and layered. This mandir sits inside an 11,000 sq ft classical-inspired home in Goa. We’ve designed quite a few mandirs over the years, but what always makes them special is when the space reflects the people living in the home. For this one, the brief from our clients was very clear. They wanted to feel completely transported when they entered the mandir. • So we worked closely with <a href="https://www.instagram.com/gracious.matheus/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" style="color: rgb(12, 16, 20);">@gracious.matheus</a> to hand-paint murals based on themes that meant something to our clients personally.• We also added all the 3D detailing because they wanted the walls to have more depth and texture, rather than everything feeling flat.• The rose quartz behind the mandir was added to tie together some of the softer colours, and because the house already has a lot of classical detailing throughout, we had to constantly balance how much detail to add and where to stop.• Even the storage here was planned around everyday rituals, so everything they need stays close by but tucked away.

We used these mosaic tiles in one of our recent projects and honestly they are one of the trickiest things to get right on site. The mesh they come on is flexible, so the moment a worker presses it directly onto the wall, the joints shift and you end up with lines going all over the place instead of staying straight. And once it is grouted and done, there is really no fixing it. So here is what we actually do. We first paste the mesh tile sheet flat onto a plain base tile using adhesive, let it set completely straight and rigid, and only then stick that whole unit onto the wall. For curved surfaces we cut the mosaic into smaller pieces first, paste those onto the base tile, and then lay it. It is a tile on tile method and it takes more time but the joints come out perfectly even every single time.

I am super excited to show you guys how beautiful this kitchen has turned out to be. The dreamy blue hues and marble tiles perfectly mirror our clients’ personality. Every detail is a result of thoughtful design, putting functionality at the heart. The high stools, ventilated cabinets, and built-in appliances make it a breeze to work in. Our clients wanted a big kitchen space and that’s what they got!
