Within the landscapes of Kasargod in Kerala, is a home for a family of 4. The couple - who shuttled between Dubai and Kerala often - wanted their innate desire for elegance, simplicity, and style, to reflect into the interiors of their 5-bedroom abode. Architects Afnan and Arun from Humming Tree (@humming_tree) approached this brief enthusiastically, with an intent to design spaces that embody chic luxury. This film takes you inside a home that mixes different time periods, tones, and textures to achieve the luxury look. Marble is used in a variety of different shades and patterns on classical elements to achieve this contemporary look that makes a statement in the department of luxury homes. The master bedroom is a minimalist space with a gray and beige undertone, featuring ascent furniture and stunning headboard paneling. A small nook for breakfast or relaxation is included, with a fabric chair and a brass table for a serene atmosphere. The expansive foyer of the house features a texture or pattern flooring. The space is brightened with Aura in Calicut light, and features a beautiful mirror paneling on the left side. The aim is for an uber chic home with most paneling made of multi-wood. A stainless steel console table adds charm to the space. Warm marble paneling and brass beading complemented the centrally placed black inlay flooring and console table in the dining area, which reflected the Kerala way of life and made for a cozy dining experience.
