The inception of 23DegreeDesignShift, or 23DDS, took shape in January 2010 when a group of young architects who just quit their jobs as architects in professional firms were searching for an opportunity to establish themselves. Little did they know that they were looking for the same common platform with similar interests. Casual talks transformed into brainstorming sessions and after a series of such discussions, 23DegreeDesignShift was evolved. The name “23DegreeDesignShift” was derived from the basic concept of the Earth’s axis being at an angle of 23.5 degrees. Just like the Earth’s sustenance at this axial tilt, 23DegreeDesignShift is a metaphoric expression talking about sustainability through design. The office is headed by Srikanth Reddy, Neelesh Kumar and Raghuram. Since its inception in January2010, the office has been actively engaged in the designs of a wide spectrum of architectural and interior projects like hospitality, healthcare, residences, commercial and retail spaces, institutions, etc.
