Bricks@47 is an IGBC Platinum Residence located in Sector 47, Noida. This house faces the south and is accessed through an east entryway, surrounded by lush green trees. The house flows seamlessly into green areas on both the front and rear parts. It is designed keeping in mind the client’s love for green areas and Design Plus’ philosophy of being ethically green. Upon entry, the dining area has interesting inlay flooring using Kota, black granite, and Jaisalmer. It has been replicated to imitate the one similar to the one at the client's 60-year-old home in Meerut. Through this house, the architects have revived design elements and techniques like terrazzo flooring and jack arch roof as seen in older homes by getting themselves involved in the construction technique. The house also has an entire floor consisting of an outdoor terrace and a bar area dedicated entirely to hosting and entertaining. Head to the link in the bio to watch the full video and download the eBook PDF with detailed floor plans, images, and information on materials used. The use of vintage elements, fusion of two styles, detailed cement artworks, and reuse of old doors and windows are some key highlights of the project. Architects, Arun K Bij and Abhishek Bij from Design Plus Architects (@designplusbuilds) walk around the house giving an insight into how they cohesively used two distinct styles while meeting all the requirements of the clients.
