The Platform aggregates professional listings and user interactions to support informed decision-making. By using the Platform, you enter into a binding agreement to comply with these Terms, which are designed to keep usage fair, transparent, and legally compliant for everyone involved.

2. Eligibility

You may use the Platform only if you are at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet this requirement

If you are using the Platform on behalf of a business or organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. User Responsibilities

We aim to cultivate a professional community. As a user of The Home Ideas platform, whether you are a homeowner, a design enthusiast, or a casual browser, you agree to the following core responsibilities:

• Lawful Conduct: Use the Platform strictly for lawful purposes and avoid any activity that violates local, national, or international regulations.
• Accuracy of Data: Provide accurate, truthful, and current information when creating an account, leaving reviews, or filling out inquiry forms.
• Respect and Privacy: Respect the intellectual property rights and privacy of other users, service providers, and The Home Ideas platform.
• No Harassment: Do not engage in harassment, hate speech, bullying, or abusive behaviour in public reviews or private communications facilitated through the Platform.
• Content Guidelines: Do not post, share, or promote false, misleading, defamatory, or malicious content, including unverified claims or fake reviews.

4. Business Listings

Business listings on The Home Ideas are either submitted voluntarily by the businesses themselves or compiled by our team from publicly available sources.

Businesses are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of their own listings. While we work to maintain a high-quality directory, The Home Ideas does not independently verify the absolute legitimacy of every business listed.

5. Listing Rules

To keep the Platform a trusted resource, businesses listing their services on The Home Ideas must strictly follow these rules:

• Authenticity: Provide genuinely accurate and up-to-date business information, including licensing details, addresses, and operational hours.
• No Deception: Never engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or bait-and-switch practices to attract customers through our platform.
• Legal Compliance: Strictly comply with all relevant industry-specific laws, municipal regulations, and professional standards required to operate your business.
• Professional Content: Do not post offensive, discriminatory, abusive, or culturally inappropriate content in portfolios or profiles.
• Intellectual Property: Always respect the intellectual property rights of others; only upload images of projects you have legally worked on and have the right to display.
• Communication: Maintain active and current contact information to ensure prospective clients can reach you effectively.

6. Paid Services

The Home Ideas offers a suite of premium paid services to help businesses stand out, including but not limited to featured listings, sponsored search placements, banner advertisements, and promotional packages aimed at increasing digital visibility.

Purchasing a paid service does not guarantee an increase in leads, conversions, or sales. Businesses using featured or sponsored listings remain subject to the same rules and quality standards as any other listing on the Platform.

7. Payments

Any business or individual purchasing paid services or subscriptions from The Home Ideas agrees to pay all applicable fees in full. Specific payment terms, billing cycles, and amounts will be clearly presented at the time of purchase.

We accept standard, industry-recognised payment methods and process all transactions through secure, encrypted third-party payment gateways. Listed prices may be subject to applicable taxes, GST, and processing fees depending on your jurisdiction.

8. Cancellation

Businesses may cancel their active paid services or subscriptions in line with our overarching cancellation policy. Specific cancellation windows and terms are provided alongside each service at checkout.

Refund eligibility varies by the type of service purchased, the duration of the contract, and when cancellation is requested; these details are stated upfront. For clarification, contact our support team at the details in Section 19.

9. Account Suspension and Termination

To protect the integrity of our community, The Home Ideas reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts — without prior notice where warranted — if a user or business is found to:

• Breach Terms: Violate any stipulations outlined in these Terms & Conditions.
• Fraud: Engage in fraudulent, unethical, or deceptive business practices toward users or the platform itself.
• Harmful Content: Post verifiably false, malicious, or significantly harmful information meant to damage the reputation of others.
• Legal Violations: Violate established local, national, or international laws through the use of our services.
• Privacy Breaches: Unlawfully infringe upon the intellectual property, privacy, or personal rights of other individuals or entities.

Suspensions may be temporary, pending investigation, or permanent, depending on the severity and nature of the violation

10. Intellectual Property

The architecture and content of The Home Ideas platform — including textual content, software, source code, images, logos, trademarks, and design elements — is owned by us and protected under applicable intellectual property and copyright law.

You may not reproduce, scrape, copy, reverse-engineer, or distribute this platform-owned content without our prior written authorisation.

Businesses retain ownership of the original content (such as project photos and descriptions) they upload to their profiles. By uploading such content, businesses grant The Home Ideas a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and promote that content on the Platform and in related marketing.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Home Ideas, its founders, employees, and affiliates from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: your breach of these Terms; your misuse of the Platform; content you upload or submit; or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

12. Disclaimer

The Home Ideas platform, along with all associated tools and resources, is provided strictly on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Specifically, we do not make any absolute guarantees regarding:

• The flawless accuracy or completeness of individual business information or reviews.
• The ultimate quality, safety, or durability of products or services rendered by listed professionals.
• The continuous availability, responsiveness, or reliability of businesses contacted through our portal.
• Uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely secure access to the Platform, which may be subject to maintenance or unforeseen outages.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The Home Ideas, its founders, operators, affiliates, partners, and employees shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from or related to:

• Your inability to use or access the platform in a timely manner.
• Any financial transaction, contractual agreement, or dispute arising directly between you and a business listed on the Platform.
• The unlawful or inappropriate conduct, errors, or omissions of third parties and service providers.
• Any technical issue, systemic error, unauthorised data breach, or cyber-attack affecting Platform infrastructure, to the extent beyond our reasonable control.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to Section 15 (Grievance Redressal), any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at [ City — e.g. Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu ], India.

15. Grievance Redressal

In accordance with Rule 3(2) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, we have appointed a Grievance Officer to address complaints regarding violations of these Terms or other matters relating to the Platform.
